A Research Farm Assistant (Farm Coordinator 1) assists with data sample collection for agricultural research and assists with tasks to complete research station operations; assists with layout of research plots, planting, and other tasks to establish field experiments; assists with data collection; harvests crops; sorts, counts, and weighs crop samples and takes other measurements; takes soil and plant samples; assists with preparing soils, plants, seeds, and transplants; waters and cares for plants in greenhouse; operates seed processing equipment or other lab equipment; operates tractors and farm machinery; weeds plots; sets up irrigation equipment; mows grass; assists with field days and tours; assists with maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment; assists with other duties as assigned; works intermittent or flexible work schedule according to crop, soil, and weather conditions.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
