What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at The Olde Schoolhouse?
If you love working with infants we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team as a Lead Infant Teacher. The successful candidates will be able to provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones through creative daily lesson plans. It is important for you to be a team player who can communicate effectively with parents and co-workers. A GED or H.S. diploma is required. Early Childhood courses or a Plan of Study are required to qualify as a Lead Infant Teacher. Each candidate must submit a OCFS background check.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
- Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices in early childhood education.
- Maintain classroom organization and adhere to health and safety standards.
