Summary
The Campus Support Department is located in Omega’s parking lot where team members greet arriving and departing guests, staff, and faculty. Duties include parking facilitation, luggage transport; organize on-site Omega transportation services, dorm kit sales, and providing individual logistical support. Campus Support also coordinates with Reception, Guest Services, and Faculty Support in order to provide effective customer service. Campus Support staff ensure luggage is labeled correctly in order for it to be delivered to and from the parking lot in an efficient manner.
Essential Functions

- Greet all arriving and departing guests.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage.
- Clear understanding of Campus Support Luggage System.
- Organize luggage accordingly and transport to the corresponding location.
- Organize luggage accordingly so guest’s luggage is organized and easy to find.
- Strong communications skills.
- Knowledge of the Omega campus.
- Provide customer service assistance.
- Trustworthy attitude to ensure guests luggage is handled with care.
- Assist guests with directions.
- Replenish luggage tags.
- Omega vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure the parking lot and platforms are clean.
- Other duties as required by the supervisor.

Work Details
- This position functions on the Omega campus.
- This is a full-time position, 35 hours a week.
- Omega Staff t-shirts will be provided and must be worn when working in guest areas to help guests identify us and to present a neat appearance.
- Closed-toed shoes are required.
- All work hours are outdoors! Please come prepared for spending all day out in the rain with rain gear and boots or waterproof shoes. In May, June, September, and October temperatures can be below 40̊ F, come prepared with warm clothes, several layers, hats, gloves, scarf, fleece, etc.
- Make sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to frequently move items that weigh 50 pounds for various needs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Ability to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions.
- Ability to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Work Hours
Part-time, 21-28 hours a week depending on operational need. The day to day schedule varies. Most transition days (Fridays and Sundays) you will have a full day of work assigned to you. You may be assigned to a split shift.
Other Information
Part Time Seasonal Staff live in tenting neighborhoods. These individuals bring their own tent to set up on provided tent platforms (8’x8’ and 10’x10’ in size) and bring a large tarp (20’x20’) for proper rain coverage.
Assigned departments may require different attire. These requirements for each department will be posted with your weekly schedule.

Compensation
Part-time seasonal staff can expect to work from late-May through late-October and will receive a compensation package that includes:

- Three delicious meals per day in our mostly vegetarian Dining Hall

- This compensation package is at minimum equivalent to the New York State minimum wage.
