General Ledger Accounting Manager

Founded in 2007, The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation (TOI) is advancing oncology by delivering highly specialized, value-based cancer care in the community setting. TOI is dedicated to offering cutting edge, evidence-based cancer care to a population of more than 1.7 million patients including clinical trials, stem cell transplants, transfusions, and other care delivery models traditionally associated with the most advanced care delivery organizations. With 100 employed clinicians and more than 700 teammates in 75 clinic locations and growing. TOI is changing oncology for the better.

Our Accounting Manager career is hybrid and requires an average of two days per week in our Cerritos Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Own the closing process, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, controls and the preparation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Lead process improvements, and motivate stakeholders to embrace the changes required to close in an accurate, timely and reliable manner.
• Assist in all technical accounting matters, including developing, maintaining and enforcing accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and other authoritative literature.
• Lead the analysis of accounting standards; and provide well-supported documentation of positions and conclusions. Recommend solutions to business partners and escalate roadblocks as needed.
• Take a lead role in the company's annual audit, including the review of all documents submitted to the external auditors, helping to manage workflow, and providing ongoing communications with the audit team
• Be a liaison between Accounting and other cross-functional teams, and contribute to other strategic projects and initiatives as needed.
  
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Excellent accounting and operational skills with a strong understanding of GAAP and controls
• Experienced people manager, who can make sound independent decisions and identify when to escalate matters.
• A strong sense of urgency to drive high quality work products with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years of public accounting experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience in healthcare is preferred
