Community Connections, a program within Catholic Charities, has immediate full-time openings for Caregivers for our clients located in Janesville, WI. Our Caregivers are an important part of our team and are responsible for the direct supervision, care, support, and training of our clients with developmental disabilities This is an excellent opportunity to develop relationships while spending time participating in activities with our clients!

Starting pay rate: $16.92
Monday-Friday - no weekends!

Job Responsibilities:
- Establish a supportive relationship with each client by working directly with them.
- Provide active supervision, facilitation, and training to clients at the facility and in the community daily.
- Ensure that the facility is ready for client programming by maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Communicate with co-workers, clients, guardians, residential providers, and case managers in a respectful, culturally competent, and professional manner.
- Physically transfer and/or maneuver clients to and from various locations, positions, and in and out of vehicles.
- Provide personal care to clients in the facility and in community settings.
- Provide client transportation in an insured and road-worthy personal or company vehicle or by public transportation.
- Administer prescribed medications to clients, as necessary.
- Comply with agency, county, and state paperwork, annual reviews, and other requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in the English language is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A car is preferred with a valid driver's license, appropriate proof of auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds and tolerate medium to physical effort including walking, standing, lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling.
