Role Overview
Optiminds Inc. is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator II (Labor Compliance Analyst) to oversee labor compliance efforts and ensure adherence to state and federal labor laws. The ideal candidate will have experience in public works construction and a thorough understanding of labor regulations. This role is vital to maintaining compliance standards and supporting contractors and subcontractors in aligning with labor requirements.
Responsibilities
- Identify the applicability of state / federal prevailing wage requirements and provide wage rates for contract solicitation documents.
- Prepare and present labor compliance requirements at pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
- Address prevailing wage queries and concerns from contractors and construction workers.
- Facilitate proper reporting of wages, benefits, apprentice usage, and employee wage violation resolution.
- Review Certified Payroll Records (CPRs) and associated payroll documentation for accuracy.
- Investigate contractor violations through CPR reviews, site visits, or worker complaints, and take appropriate action.
- Support audit preparation, conduct pre-meetings with contractors, and participate in settlement meetings.
- Maintain thorough electronic and hardcopy records of labor compliance documentation.
- Monitor updates to labor regulations and assist in adapting procedures accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Labor Compliance Lead on policy and procedure development.
- Conduct site visits, worker interviews, and investigations as necessary, reporting findings monthly.
- Attend project site meetings, including pre-bid and progress meetings, to ensure compliance measures are communicated.
- Provide support for miscellaneous labor compliance tasks as assigned.
