Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor is responsible for providing effective food & nutrition services; and training and supervising skilled nursing and assisted living dining room and diet aide personnel.

- $23.50-$25/hr. based on experience

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Under the direction of the Director, responsible for front-of-house food and nutrition activities.
- Supervises the tray line for accuracy, time and temperature, etc. Ensures data is entered into menu software programs, maintains Resident profiles and accurate tray tickets and selection sheets. Maintains a meal tally system for the cooks from all menus from residents. Monitors food quality on tray line.
- Participates in the selection, training, evaluating and coaching of servers and diet aides, in cooperation with Human Resources and under the direction of the Food & Nutrition Services Director.
- Plans and assists in preparation of parties, marketing events, and other special events.
- Coordinates with residents to organize birthday parties, celebrations of life, and other resident sponsored events.
- Assures efficiency of food serving; compliance with local, state, and federal standards; sanitation, and hygiene and health standards of personnel.
- Monitors the care and the safe and sanitary use of supplies and equipment and all infection control policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains friendly, courteous, and responsive relationships with residents, their families, and their guests as appropriate.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Minimum of two years experience in the administration of a large food services system, such as a resort, health center, or hospital; fine dining experience a plus.
- Previous working experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Certificate in Dietary Services Management, a degree in nutrition or similar food service program preferred.
- Knowledge of all Title 22 and CMS federal regulation, requirement.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
- Possesses sensitivity to feeding requirements for the elderly.
