We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist to join our Pulmonary clinic located at Gateway Medical Office Building in NE Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.
Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for an experienced candidate with strong attention to detail, a friendly demeanor, a great attitude, and the ability to multitask in this fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a medical front office setting, preferably proficient in handling multi-line phone systems.
Primary duties include patient check-ins, answering phones, updating records as needed, handling faxes, referral management, and other duties as assigned. The position requires excellent customer service and communication skills.
Workdays will be Monday-Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm).
Hiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials:
- Level I - $19.18- $25.96 per hour.
- Level II - $21.10 - $28.55 per hour.
- Level III - $23.21 - $31.41 per hour.
Placement within levels based on specialty group, experience, and additional duties.
Medical, Vision and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous medical front office experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior EMR Experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
- Excellent phone skills and customer service skills.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
- Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines.
