What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Representative position at The Orthopaedic Center?
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for acting as a public relations agent with insurance companies. Assist patients with questions on insurance claims. Experienced in BCBS A/R and has Availity knowledge and understands the appeal process when working claims.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Analyzes and research revenue discrepancies.
2. Performs day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
3. Generates bank deposit slips and makes the daily cash deposits to the bank.
4. Maintains Accounts Receivable database, including updating account information.
5. Enters data and reconciles the cash receipt log with payment posting totals.
6. Investigates billing problems and formulates solutions. Verifies and maintains adjustment records.
7. Reconciles daily each cashier drawer with cash receipts journal.
8. Participates in educational activities.
9. Maintains strictest confidentiality.
10. Performs other job duties as requested not necessarily related to job position.
11. The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
