Overview
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper/assistant. Experience and computer knowledge are essential. Some job duties: receiving orders, payroll, organizing reservations, and coordinating with staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage.
- Perform bank reconciliation to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and preparing relevant reports.
- Utilize Quicken and other financial software for tracking income and expenses.
- Collaborate with public accounting teams for audits and compliance checks.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and documentation as needed.
- Assist with data entry and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
Experience
- Proficiency in technical accounting principles is essential.
- Experience with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, budgeting, and general bookkeeping practices.
- Familiarity with public accounting processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
