Title of Position: Evening Coverage/Monitor
Reports to: Program Director

Descriptions of Duties and Responsibilities
General: To assist in the evening operations of the home and the maintenance of the physical and attitudinal environment of the home, which will enhance the recovery process with the home. Portray a positive ongoing role model of recovery.
Examples of Work Performed:
Assist in facilitating resident house and recovery meetings.
Oversee food preparation and adherence to daily menus.
Functioning as the facility’s receptionist and performing clerical office duties within facility.
Monitor facility and participants after business hours, 7 days a week, including holidays.
To regularly inspect the premises and promptly report any safety or security hazard.
Periodically, throughout the night, check participants in their beds.
Assist Caseworker with the delivery of participant services and activities, as necessary.
Properly address emergency situations.
Maintain program adherence to the Paar Center’s policies and rules.
Maintain resident information in accordance with Federal and State Confidentiality Rules & Regulations and Child and Elderly Abuse reporting requirements.
Provide a valid California Driver’s License.
Experience and Training: Preferably a person who has personal recovery and social model recovery home experience; basic knowledge of alcohol and drug addiction; working knowledge of AA and NA programs; First Aid and CPR.
Education: Combination of job experiences, life experience, education, and specialized study to perform positions duties.
Personal Qualifications: Ability to work with diverse groups of people; familiarity and understanding of the issues involved in recovery for alcoholism and drug addiction; ability to communicate orally and in writing; a person who can describe as a good learner, helper and can react to emergency situations. Be at least (21) years of age and possess either a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
