Company Description
Our French-owned client is a designer and manufacturer of packaging equipment for companies in the food and cosmetics sectors. This mid-size manufacturing firm has 210 employees and is expanding its sales operations across the US. This newly created position is responsible for expanding the client's footprint in the US.
Job Description
- You will report to the US Sales Manager as you execute the sales strategy in the US
- Generate new customers by identifying potential new clients.
- Develop our existing customer portfolio through phone calls, e-mails, and on-site sales visits.
- Present the company's products and services to current and potential partners.
- Reporting your actions on the company's CRM tool.
- Generate new business in conjunction with the other US sales representative
- To operate in accordance with the company's ethics and principles.
- This list is not exhaustive and may be completed by other tasks requested by the Sales Department.
- Have a project management mindset. 1st meeting: go into the plant and see how it’s done, products, formats, speed, send to HQ. Will work with the Engineering team, pre-project, understanding needs, solving, and verifying all the data. Will be very involved in each process, not only selling but managing the project.
Qualifications
- You have 2 years of experience selling packaging machines, food, and/or cosmetics, preferably in a similar industry
- You have solid experience in sales, including prospecting.
- Selling a turnkey and full-line solution including weighing, labeling, cutting and wrapping packaging machinery
- You are autonomous and work independently by generating your own appointments and serving your customers from beginning to end to ensure client satisfaction.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems
- Bilingual in French is ideal, but not mandatory
- Frequent travel is required in the United States 60% with 70 % driving. A valid US driver's license and a travel DL in France are required for basic training on our machines and processes. Initial product training will be held in France; a Valid US Passport is required.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant experience in the technical field.
