About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Assembly and Integration Technician (A IT Engineer) to join our clients dynamic engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in the assembly, integration, maintenance, and support of our state-of-the-art subsea habitat. This is a senior-level role; someone with deep expertise in relevant technical areas and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the assembly, integration, and maintenance of our product, a pressure vessel mated to an ambient chamber, primarily constructed of steel, and deployed initially at shallow depths.
Provide field deployment support for the initial shakedown and operational deployment of the habitat.
Conduct ongoing engineering support, troubleshooting, and maintenance during field operations.
Collaborate with the procurement team to provide input, feedback, and detailed specifications for next-generation habitat designs and improvements.
Engage with suppliers on a procurement-management level, ensuring the delivery of components that meet design and operational requirements.
Develop and document standard operating procedures, maintenance schedules, and field protocols for habitat deployments and operations.
Train and mentor junior team members in best practices for habitat assembly, integration, and field deployment. Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience in assembly and integration roles, ideally within subsea systems, pressure vessels, or related marine engineering fields.
Hands-on expertise in mechanical systems, hydraulics, and subsea deployment processes.
Familiarity with engineering design principles, CAD tools, and prototyping workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure in field conditions.
Proven experience in working with suppliers and managing procurement processes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Willingness to travel extensively to support deployments and field operations. Preferred Skills and Experience :
Experience with subsea habitats, hyperbaric systems, or related underwater technologies.
Certification in diving or underwater operations is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of material science, corrosion prevention, and subsea coatings.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols for subsea engineering.
