The Panther Group is seeking a Real Estate Attorneyto work with one of our partners, a full-service law firm located in Boston, MA. This position is hybrid (Monday through Wednesday in office, Thursday and Friday remote)
Real Estate/Transactional Attorney
Please Note:
We are not interested in a residential real estate background. Our transactional work is focused on the following: (a) commercial loan and tax exempt bond financing transactions in which we represent the borrower or lender/bond purchaser; (b) tax credit transactions in which we represent the borrower or lender; (c) leasing arrangements for client tenants, or client who have excess space; and (d) real estate and asset purchases and sales; and (e) joint ventures and other arrangements to undertake a particular venture. We do not expect a new associate to have experience in all of these areas, but experience in some will be required.
The firm provides legal services to nonprofit, for-profit and public clients operating in the areas of real estate development and finance, affordable housing, health and human services, civil litigation, employment, and education. We are a full-service firm for the clients we serve.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Three to seven years of experience in real estate and transactional work, (with a focus on nonprofit and community development preferred.)
- The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with top academic credentials, excellent writing skills, a superior work ethic, the ability to think strategically and the desire to undertake complex transactions.
- Massachusetts bar membership or the ability to waive in is required.
As a member of the firm’s transaction group, the attorney will have the opportunity to engage in a full range of transactional legal work, including borrower and lender representation, landlord and tenant representation, asset and equity acquisitions and dispositions, property, operational, and organizational due diligence, joint ventures, and other organizational restructuring.
