What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staffing Coordinator position at The Parc at Joliet?
Experience:
- One year of experience in long term care, C.N.A. REQUIRED.
Essential Functions:
- Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks prior schedule start.
- Contacts replacement personnel and modifies schedule when required.
- Maintains a current listing of employee contact numbers for call-in
- Coordinates time off requests with the Director of Nursing
- Notifies Director of Nursing of short staffing situations.
- Maintains a record of employees that miss shifts, and produces reports.
- Assist on Unit in emergency situations.
- Availability and Flexible
- On call and receive call offs with use of scheduling phone
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented.
- Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate a Computer, Fax, Laptop
- Ability to utilize Google Spreadsheets and Outlook
- Knowledge of overtime regulations.
Other responsibilities will include purchasing medical supplies and keeping an adequate amount on the nursing units.
