Host

We are seeking a charismatic and engaging individual to join our team as a host. As a host, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests. You will be responsible for hosting and interacting with guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with OpenTable (or similar seating systems) is a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests upon arrival and provide them with a warm and friendly welcome.
• Escort guests to their designated seating areas or floors.
• Assist guests with any inquiries, providing information about the establishment, events, or services.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to ensure optimal capacity and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized entrance area, including ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and resources.
• Monitor and manage guest waitlists effectively, providing accurate wait time estimates and managing guest expectations.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, events, and menu items to effectively communicate them to guests.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• A warm and friendly demeanor with the ability to make guests feel welcome.
• Savvy, professional appearance
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Basic computer skills for managing reservations.
• Knowledge of the establishment's offerings, including menu items, promotions, and events.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic who is also energetic, charismatic, and diligent.
