The Parks Senior Living in Odessa, Texas provides short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services to the senior population in our community. The Parks is a 14 acre campus offering a continuum of care : ILF, ALF, and SNF. Our therapy department is fully in-house and provides therapists / assistants with flexibility and learning opportunities and we are expanding our team.
Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement the Physical Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.
- Provide supervision, as needed, for staff Physical Therapy Assistants in delivery of the PT plans of care.
- Assist as needed with patient screenings for the need for Physical Therapy.
- Communicate progress and any barriers toward PT goals with interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete timely PT documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, and payor requirements.
- Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.
- Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each PT patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.
- Serves and protects the physical therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements
- Enhances physical therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
