Business Developer Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a close contact with potential customers and equipment/technology partners.
- Develop and recommend marketing objectives.
- Execute and implement strategy objectives related to the respective portfolio
- Maintain contacts with international divisions and work closely with in-house staff.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings. Develop strategies for projects and/or potential clients. Prepare and coordinate proposal activities incorporating all sub suppliers and consortium partners.
- Responsible for the coordination and finalization of the proposal documents, terms and conditions, and cost budgets delivered to the client.
- Responsible for proposal presentations to the client or participation as a team member at presentations.
- Responsible for the coordination of commercial documents, cost budgets, and price budgets for any addenda and/or changes required for the proposals.
- Responsible for handling small projects in the execution or a flowless handover to the executing department.
- Arrange and coordinate visits for potential customers to Company facilities and tours of plants designed by Company as well as participate in these visits if attendance facilitates potential business.
- Visit Company’s facilities to augment knowledge of Company technology and review market place and business strategy.
- Represent us at conferences and official business events
- Participate and potentially lead, contract negotiations.
- Participate and support onsite installation and commissioning activities of project
Education/Experience/Skills/Capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience or familiarity with the metallurgical aspects of the steel industry are an advantage
- Knowledge of technology for steelmaking, ironmaking, casting and other metals equipment, and sales of metals industrial equipment.
- Minimum of five to ten years of experience with a combination of design engineering, process engineering, sales, and contract negotiations.
- High degree of motivation and flexibility, excellent communication skills, high ability to work with a team and lead and develop employees.
- International and domestic travel required
- Experience in handling or coordinating project
