Front of House/Bar Attendant
Reports to: Manager
Wage: $15/hour tips
Job Duties:
- Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
- Perform all guest contact activities and respond to guest inquiries in a cordial and professional manner
- Offer a warm and sincere welcome and farewell to all guests
- Offer product knowledge of menu items and beverages to guests
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all amenities and upcoming special events
- Resolve guest issues promptly with great care and effectiveness
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment, dishes, glass, and silver (Barback)
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and express any special guest needs
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Interact with fellow staff members in a professional manner
- Communicate all pertinent information to the team
- Maintain constant awareness of safety concerns and report all safety incidents and/or issues to manager
- Report to work on time according to posted schedule and maintain accurate time records
- Follow dress code standards
- Perform other related duties as requested by management
Job Requirements:
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must have valid OLCC and Food Handler’s cards and have knowledge of the food and beverage industry
- Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Must be highly detail orientated and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must always ensure a positive teamwork environment
- Must have the ability to interact well with the guests and associates and resolve problems/conflicts in an effective and tactful manner
- Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day
- Must be able to work in either hot or cold conditions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
