Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures to enhance resident care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and maintain individualized care plans
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure quality and safety in patient care
- Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development and a positive workplace culture
- Monitor nursing staff performance and provide ongoing feedback and support
- Ensure effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred; Master’s degree is a plus
- Nursing experience in a management or leadership role in a long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of nursing home regulations and quality assurance practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
