Purpose of this position
The purpose of this position is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor to develop and implement facility maintenance policies and procedures in an efficient. cost-effective manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal. state and local requirements.

Delegation of authority
- Implement maintenance systems to meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
- Assist to implement a monitoring system for the maintenance department and make recommendations for implementation to assure compliance with federal. state and local requirements .
- Assist with ordering or requisitioning supplies to operate the maintenance department.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS).
- Implement maintenance procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Implement waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Proper care and use of maintenance equipment.
- Identify, report to administration and schedule repair of any equipment malfunction.
- Identify, report to administration and schedule repair of areas in poor repair.
- Dispense maintenance equipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner.
- Perform maintenance and repair procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Paints interior and exterior walls.
- Maintain all required logs as it relates to the Life Safety and Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Follow facility safety program.
- Observe infection control procedures related to the maintenance department.
- Ability to work other shifts as needed or when issues arise at the facility.
