Description
As an Assistant Market Leader, you’ll ensure product freshness, availability, and branded presentation while fostering a customer-first culture with your dedicated team. You’ll manage operations, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, and category sales trends, alongside the Market Leader, while leading a team to meet sales goals and maintain high standards for the customer experience.

Responsibilities Include:
- Customer-Focused Leadership: Lead and create a service culture that prioritizes the customer service experience, modeling, training, and coaching expectations to deliver The Peach Truck service standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, develop, and coach a team of hourly team members and leaders. Establish clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and hold team members accountable to deliver on business goals and customer engagement.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising, replenishment, food safety, and maintaining a fresh, food-safe environment. Ensure all locations are compliant with Peach Truck branded presentation and food safety standards.
- Sales & Market Performance: Understand sales goals, plan, and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on stop-specific sales goals and customer engagement. This includes merchandising, upselling, and leveraging category sales trends to drive business growth. Drive total market sales, understand your role in sales growth, and lead your team to optimize market performance.
- Own the Setup: Oversee the setup and teardown of each stop, including organizing tables, tents, and equipment (50 lbs), ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Warehouse Management: Oversee daily operations of inbound and outbound peach shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy, and efficient product handling (including FIFO) while maintaining strong communication with the warehouse team.
- Scheduling & Planning: Plan schedules in partnership with your team leaders based on monthly and weekly business workload and customer traffic. Ensure team assignments and customer-facing activities are executed in alignment with Peach Truck’s priorities.
- Reporting & Analytics: Review reporting to identify business trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Develop business plans and assignments based on observations and report back to leadership.
- Safety & Compliance: Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Lead the team to work in accordance with safety standards, identify and correct hazards, and ensure that all operations comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Competition & Market Insights: Assess the competition and leverage insights to drive business objectives. Adapt to changes in unique market trends and adjust strategies as necessary to meet goals.
- Talent Management & Recruitment: Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions, onboard new team members, and mentor them to ensure a high level of competency and customer service skills.
- Emergency & Location Management: Address stop needs (e.g., emergency situations, location issues, regulatory visits) and manage all aspects of location logistics, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Driving & Transportation: Drive a rental vehicle to and from stops safely, including transporting passengers and equipment, and monitor traffic requirements to modify stop setups as necessary.

Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older and eligibility to work in the United States in compliance with applicable employment laws.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous retail leadership experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lift safely 50 pound boxes repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Ability to work outdoors in various climates.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, showing flexibility, proactiveness, and attention to detail while multitasking.
- Access to a personal smartphone, and adaptability to current technology needs.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision at all times and follow instructions.
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays, with regular attendance necessary. (Saturday availability is required).
- Dedicated to placing the customer experience as the utmost priority, with strong communication skills utilizing positive, customer-focused language, and expertise in customer education, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach team members, holding them accountable.
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision-making, financial, and quantitative analysis.
- Proficient in managing workload and prioritizing tasks independently.
