What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Server position at The Peacock?
We are currently seeking experienced restaurant servers to join our dynamic team. As a dining room server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests on our first floor dining room, or our third floor, fully open rooftop dining area.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and efficiently
- Ensure guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about food and beverages
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Upsell food and beverage items to maximize revenue
Requirements:
- Proven work experience (at least 2 years) as a restaurant server
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food and beverages
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Attention to detail and ability to solve problems quickly
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
