The Peddie School seeks to add an Electrician to our team. The Electrician will maintain The Peddie School property in all aspects of electrical needs, lighting, outlets, and power supplies to ensure safe and proper operation of electrical distribution.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position is considered essential personnel
- Replace, repair and upkeep of lighting in all buildings and exterior lighting
- Installation of outlets and electrical services when needed as directed by Building Services office
- Trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment in Food Service Department and all campus buildings
- Work with HVAC Technician and Boiler Operators during equipment change overs or mechanical failures of equipment to ensure they are back on line in appropriate amount of time
- Conduct quarterly inspections of electrical distribution equipment and file inspection report with Building Services Office
- Apply for and file any permits requested by Building Services Office
- Maintain inventory of materials and equipment needed for non-emergency and emergency repairs
- Order and procure necessary materials to maintain work order
- Assist maintenance workers for special event set ups
- Assist maintenance workers with snow removal
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Building Services or the Business Manager
