Description
Assistant swim coaches help run practices, swim meets, and swim and dive events. This role is an opportunity to learn more about coaching, mentorship, and create a positive atmosphere to participate in for this fun summer sport / program.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist the Head Swim Coach in running daily practices, providing in-water support, and ensuring a positive learning experience.
- Work closely with swimmers (ages 3-18) to develop technique, build confidence, and encourage team spirit.
- Support the Head Coach in planning workouts, organizing drills, and maintaining a safe and effective practice environment.
- Help manage swim meets, including guiding swimmers to their events, leading the team cheer, and offering encouragement.
- Foster strong relationships with swimmers, parents, and fellow coaches to enhance the overall team experience.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and provide assistance in emergency situations if needed.
Note : We are looking to recruit a team of 15-20 Assistant Coaches to ensure everyone gets frequent shifts and the opportunity to build strong connections with fellow coaches and our younger swimmers. In case there are more applications than what we can hire, priority will be given based on experience and skillset.
