SUMMARY
The laundry attendant?s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to cleaning and pressing soiled linen which includes linen from the guest rooms, banquet rooms, kitchen and any other duties that the Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Housekeeping Manager, or Housekeeping Supervisor see fit to assign.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Service
- Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation
- Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests? needs
- Committed to making every guest is satisfied
- Meets or exceeds guest satisfaction measures
- Ensures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service
- Implements and practices guest service initiatives and performs to Hotel Standards
Laundry Attendant Duties
- Sort linen by type.
- Properly load washers and dryers.
- Follow proper laundry folding and stacking procedures.
- Separate re-wash linen using proper procedures
- Assist with monthly inventory procedures and collect dirty linen from guest rooms.
- Cleaning linen traps from dryers.
- Equipment wipe down (report any/all equipment malfunction to management)
- Sweeping and mopping laundry floors.
- Removal of trash at end of shift.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Transport soiled linen from guest hallways to laundry area when needed.
- Other duties as required.
- Ensure that linen is clean and available for use by the hotel?s departments when needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent, plus relative experience in customer service
LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees and supervisors for optimum operation of the property.
REASONING ABILITY
Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
