JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Harrisburg'sKulkarni Theatre seeks applications for part-timeprofessionals to assistwithevents hosted in the KulkarniTheatreas well ashybridand virtual events across campus.Thisopeningincludes the setting up andoperatingof audio, video,and lightingequipmentfor In-person, hybrid,virtualandhigh-profileeventsoncampusincludingthe theatre, event spaces, and outdoors. It also includes tasks such as stage managing and/or acting as a technical coordinator for venue rentals, and performances in the venue. Event technicians would also assist in the loading in and outofscenic elementsand technicalequipmentfor live performances in the theatre. This openingalsosupports facility projects andoperationsin the theatre.
Job DutiesDuties will include but not limited to:- Lightingset-up,focus,programmingand operation
- AudioProduction,SystemSetUp,Mixing
- Video Production, Broadcast/Editing
- Stage Managing
- BackstageManagement
- Technical Coordinating
- EventSet-up and break-down
- Basic Carpentry
- Event/talent management
- Facility Organization
- Should be able to regularly lift loads between 20lbs and 50lbs, with or without accommodations.
- This opening requires flexible hours,somenights andweekends. Scheduling is based on eventcalendar and tech needs.
