JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The System for Integrated Management, Business and Accounting (SIMBA), Penn State's application of SAP, is seeking a skilled and proactive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Analyst to join the team. In this role, you will work in a collaborative, agile environment alongside both technical and non-technical users, driving the development and implementation of new applications and supporting labor distribution and effort certification.
The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the successful continuous improvement of the SIMBA system. You will be responsible for tracking functionality changes, exploring future capabilities, leading the development of feature specifications, overseeing testing, managing incidents, providing training, and contributing to cross-functional efforts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the advancement of our enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and assist in the development and implementation of new applications within the SIMBA system.
Develop and execute test plans for new features and system upgrades across all environments.
Document functional specifications (WRICEF) for new features and updated processes in alignment with governance committees.
Develop a deep understanding of the HCM Mini-Master and provide support to the team as needed.
Provide ongoing user support, including incident management, training, and the creation of documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Budget & Finance, Research, Procurement, Applied Research Lab etc.) to ensure system requirements are effectively met.
Analyze ERP system performance, identify integration needs, and recommend improvements for business efficiency.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure the proper implementation of system updates and enhancements.
Qualifications
Minimally requires a bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with SIMBA, SAP, and other related systems (e.g., LionPath, Worklion), is desired.
Knowledge of Labor Distribution/Effort Certification processes is necessary.
Experience in developing and delivering user training.
Strong understanding of ERP systems and processes.
Experience in system implementation, testing, and user support.
The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States, fully in-person at the University Park Campus, or in a hybrid model of both in-person and remote. Standard working hours are in the eastern time zone. Candidates must be US citizens to apply.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$61,800.00 - $89,600.00Salary Structure - additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure.
