The Night Manager plays a vital role in representing the Management Team during the night shifts, ensuring that the Resort’s operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves working closely with the Front Office Manager to oversee and support the various facets of the Front Office department. This includes and is not limitied to operational planning, budgeting and staffing. The Night Manager will serve as a leader and mentor, providing guidance to all Front Office staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and upholding the Resort's high standards of excellence across all supervised areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Front Office team during night shifts, providing support and direction.
- Assist in the development and execution of operational strategies, staffing schedules, and budgeting.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to resort policies and procedures in all aspects of Front Office operations.
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of satisfaction, maintaining the resort's reputation for excellence.
- Enforce company standards, uphold operational procedures, and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest experiences.
- Provide on-site leadership during night shifts, managing any emergencies or guest concerns that may arise.
Night Manager Requirements:
- Hospitality background: Previous experience in the hospitality industry, especially in guest services, front desk, or supervisory roles.
- Leadership & Team Management: The Night Manager supervises and directs a team of staff members during the night shift, ensuring smooth operations and addressing issues as they arise.
- Customer Service: Ability to handle guest complaints, resolve conflicts, and ensure overall guest satisfaction, even during late hours.
- Problem-solving: Must be able to think on their feet and handle emergencies or unexpected situations that may arise overnight.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage administrative tasks, handle inventory, and coordinate staff schedules effectively.
- Clear communication skills are crucial, especially since the night shift is often quieter and may involve more one-on-one interactions with guests.
- Ability to report issues to day-shift managers and write shift reports accurately.
