Responsibilities
- Assist with the formation and structuring of private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds.
- Represent clients in side letter negotiations and advise on investment opportunities.
- Manage fundraising processes and ensure compliance with ongoing regulatory requirements.
- Provide legal counsel on the day-to-day needs of fund managers and investors.
- Collaborate on tax, securities laws, and fund economics.
- 4-6 years of experience in a large law firm setting, with a focus on fund formation and investment adviser work.
- Strong academic credentials with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take on responsibility, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of tax and securities laws, particularly as they apply to private funds.
- Basic understanding of fund economics and willingness to learn.
- Must be admitted or eligible for admission to practice in the jurisdiction of application.
