What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Teller position at The Peoples Bank?
The Peoples Bank (of Gambier) is looking for part-time individuals to join our Customer Service Team. Prior Bank Teller experience is preferred.
As the face of our organization, the right candidate must have the ability to follow compliance requirements, policies and procedures. They must be accurate, be able to handle complex issues, critically analyze situations and make appropriate decisions.
Candidates must also assist in managing customer service objectives, promote the culture of the Bank, and like working with the public. They must be able to multi-task while delivering top-notch customer service. Relationship building, solid math skills, typing & leadership skills are a plus.
The Peoples Bank makes it a priority to build relationships with our customers and understand the financial needs of everyone we serve. Key responsibilities include:
- Recommending bank products and services beneficial to customers
- Accurately processing transactions, opening accounts, and performing account maintenance
- Branch duties to include professionally handling confidential customer information, cash handling, daily balancing, and other branch duties as assigned.

Previous experience preferred but not required. Pay commensurate with experience. Dependent upon successful completion of 90 day probationary period.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
