Responsibilities:
General laborers to assist in all areas of maintenance / upkeep of buildings and grounds of the Perlman Music Program campus on Shelter Island.
The Perlman Music Program is an educational classical music program for talented young string players, running a 7-week summer camp and a 3-week summer festival (60 participants and staff), and occasional off-season programs (a total of 15-30 days off-season). The Program’s home for the past 26 years has been its 28-acre, partially winterized campus on Shelter Island.
Duties include small repairs, painting, grounds keeping, moving furniture and light janitorial tasks. Candidates should be comfortable with light physical labor and use of small power tools / equipment.
Willingness to learn is valued along with any experience. Part of a maintenance team
- Seasonal position with 40hr/wk May 1 – September 1.
Competitive Pay based on experience and qualifications. Willing to discuss end date flexibility with Fall obligations (college, etc.)
