What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate General Counsel-Real Estate position at The PeterSan Group and PeterSan Legal Staffing?
We represent a full-service real estate developer on Long Island looking to hire an attorney to work directly with the General Counsel on all transactional real estate matters, including drafting and negotiating leases, lease amendments, mortgage loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, brokerage agreements, and confidentiality agreements
• Support and work directly with company’s in-house accounting, property management, construction, architecture and governmental affairs departments, including drafting and negotiating property management agreements, construction agreements, consulting and service agreements
• Work with insurance companies and insurance defense law firms to manage slip and fall litigation and other litigation matters
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to the company's operations.
Requirements:
• Minimum of five years of law firm or in-house experience as a transactional real estate attorney
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Experience with title insurance and survey matters is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
