Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesCompounding Preparation:Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients for the compounding of nonsterile medications according to established formulations and proceduresUtilize appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality before each use Quality Control: Perform quality checks at each stage of the compounding process to verify dosage accuracy and product integrity Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines, including USP for nonsterile compounding and USP for hazardous drug compoundingDocumentation: Record all compounding activities in accordance with pharmacy policies and regulatory standardsMaintain detailed logs of ingredient batches, expiration dates, and patient-specific informationSanitation and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain a clean and organized workspace, performing routine cleaning of tools, equipment, and the compounding areaTeam Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure accurate and timely preparation of compounded medicationsParticipate in team meetings and provide input on improving compounding workflows Additional projects and responsibilities may be designated by the supervisor.QualificationsFluent in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferredFlorida Registered Pharmacy Technician LicenseFlexible work schedule, including weekendsStrong numerical aptitude for accurate calculationsProven ability to multitask effectivelyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsKnowledge of nonsterile compounding best practices is preferred but not required ScheduleNight Shift: Monday through Friday (10 pm to 6:30 am)Midday Shift: Monday through Friday (1.30 pm to 10:00 am)This schedule requires flexibility to accommodate pharmacy operations and meet patient demands.
