Summary
The Manager, Institutional Marketing is responsible for providing administrative, operational, and general support to the Marketing Department and supporting an exceptional audience experience. The manager supervises the Marketing Associate position with primary responsibility for production of institutional publications, branded merchandise, signage, etc. Duties include seasonal co-branded media placements, ensuring alignment with overarching marketing strategies and maintaining brand consistency. This position supports various aspects of the institutional marketing department as the department collaborates on campaigns with partners across the organization: rentals, food and beverage, development, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage marketing associate and duties owned by this role generally defined as institutional marketing asset projects; including Playbills, programs, concert calendars, season brochures, media placements, and other marketing assets.
- Serve as primary point person for organizing and managing all institutional media assets on data asset management system, including fulfilling institutional media requests from across the organization
- Manage indoor and outdoor venue signage projects such as wayfinding, placemaking, branding, and sales campaigns, including management of digital signage
- Provide marketing support for development department, education department, and institutional storytelling campaigns
- Manage gift certificate marketing strategy, tracking, usage, etc.
- Manage free signature programs and campus events, such as WWA, PFAF, and Pride activations.
- Provide marketing support for facility rentals and food and beverage sales as needed.
- Oversees fairs and festival presence, including data collection
- Assist with routing for creative projects as assigned.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Design, or a related field.
- 5 years experience in a related capacity
- Continuing education in relevant software and technologies is preferred.
- Solid experience in marketing, sales, design, writing, and brand development.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, design programs, and project management software.
- Strong management skills, organization of tasks and priorities, staff management, and training capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain budgets on both an annual and project basis.
- Familiarity with the performing arts environment is highly desirable.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Office environment with consistent nights and weekends required.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
