Role Overview
The Director of Administration oversees office operations, including support services, facilities, and reception. Reporting to the Office Managing Partner and Senior Director of Operations, this role ensures smooth operations and fosters a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations, facilities, and adherence to firm policies.
- Oversee space planning, lease agreements, and facilities coordination with building management.
- Develop and manage budgets, track expenditures, and provide forecast updates.
- Negotiate and maintain vendor contracts; oversee cost-effective event planning and catering.
- Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate support staff.
- Promote a cohesive office culture through events and initiatives.
- Implement firmwide programs locally and support national/international initiatives.
- Stay informed of workplace trends to maintain a safe, positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Leadership experience in managing teams and fostering collaboration.
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic budgeting/accounting principles.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR practices; law firm experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of office management experience, including supervision and budget oversight.
