Technology Support Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Technology Support Specialist to provide troubleshooting and technical assistance for employees. This role ensures smooth operation of software, hardware, and connectivity, offering direct support to staff and leadership. Occasional offsite event support may be required. The specialist will work closely with internal IT teams, external vendors, and employees to maintain a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve issues with business applications and system integration.
- Provide assistance for desktops, laptops (PC and Mac), mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support multi-screen setups, wireless connectivity, and specialized hardware.
- Follow IT protocols for system configuration, troubleshooting, and data integrity.
- Maintain a structured log of issues and resolutions, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Manage user access, including provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts.
- Provide hands-on and remote training on software and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, WebEx).
Infrastructure & System Administration
- Assist with server maintenance and configuration while adhering to IT security guidelines.
- Follow firm-wide change management processes for system updates.
- Contribute to IT initiatives that enhance service delivery and system efficiency.
- Track and manage technology assets, coordinating repairs and replacements.
Event & Offsite IT Support
- Provide technical assistance for meetings, presentations, and remote work setups.
- Configure networking equipment (routers, switches, servers) for offsite locations.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a bridge between IT teams, vendors, and employees to address technical issues.
- Communicate effectively with end users, ensuring timely problem resolution.
- Work alongside facilities and administrative staff to support conference room technology and office relocations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of IT support experience, with knowledge of networking and server environments.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus.
- Previous experience in a professional services or legal environment is preferred.
- Availability for on-call rotations and occasional travel.
