Full Time Medical Assistant needed to Float within a large multi-specialty Orthopedic Clinic in North OKC
Monday-Friday, no weekends or major holidays
Responsibilities
- Room and interview patients and documenting history
- Take vitals
- Triage patient calls
- Charting in EHR (Epic) and processing any paperwork to check out to include Work Comp Form 5's, referrals, prescriptions
- Help guide patients throughout the clinic
- Casting, bracing, and removing sutures
- Some front desk coverage as needed and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- One year clinic experience preferred
- Experience in an orthopedic surgeons office a plus
- Experience with Epic electronic health records and phlebotomy experience are preferred
- Worker's Compensation experience is preferred as it is a large part of the patient population
- Experience with casting and bracing is preferred, or must be willing to train
- Must be a positive team player who is organized, self motivated, dependable and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Must be dependable, flexible and able to adapt to multiple providers' clinical needs and expectations
- Must be able to work well within a team environment
- High School Graduate or equivalent required (GED)
