Overview
The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently hiring associates to join our sweet potato processing facility in Clarksville, AR. This is a two shift production operation with opportunities on both shifts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with government agencies and internal standards for example FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HARPC, GMPs, Housekeeping, Allergen Segregation, etc
- Know and observe safety, security, quality, sanitation and personal hygiene requirement
- Assist with accurate accounts of all materials in and out of the shipping warehouse and correct physical inventory of all items stored
- Work closely with facility personnel to ensure that Pictsweet produces food that is safe, legally complaint and of high quality
- Complies with all internal and external requirements to meet all food safety requirements
- Receiving of all raw materials including raw potatoes
- Proper storage of inventories following FIFO
- Performing housekeeping functions in the freezer warehouse
- Implement the hold program and corrective actions as needed
- Verification for COA on ingredients, raw materials, etc
Qualifications
- Excellent attendance is required
- Previous experience in receiving in a food manufacturing environment a plus
- Effective oral/written communication skills
- Demonstrate problem solving skills
- Functionally knowledgeable to apply corrective actions, quality and food safety procedures correctly in times of failures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Valid forklift license or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
- Must be able to work in cold environment
