JOB FUNCTION, TASKS, and RESPONSIBILITIES :
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow proper payroll procedures.
- Sort, count and record all linens into different classifications in different laundry baskets.
- Receive, store, and distribute clean linen from the laundry.
- Keep all laundry carts and working areas clean and organized.
- Communicate all information to the next shift as well as a supervisor.
- Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
- Candidate must have previous commercial laundry experience in hotel environment.
- Must have knowledge of laundry processes and equipment, such as high-capacity washers / dryers and flat work ironer.
- Candidate must have the ability to use cleaning agents, products, and equipment to maintain work area.
- Must have the ability to interact with all employees and guests in a professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed.
- Must be able to work all shifts inclusive of weekends and evenings.
