General Information:
The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking Six (6) Camp Counselors for the Summer of 2025! We offer fantastic rewards, including lunch daily while at work.
Dates: June 2 to August 8, 2025
Camp Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm daily, Monday - Friday.
This job description includes, but is not limited to, the duties and responsibilities noted below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a camp counselor, you'll supervise and lead activities, entertain and engage kids of various ages, enforce camp rules, maintain cleanliness, and create a fun and safe environment during our day camp activities.
- Must work well with others, and have excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced indoor/outdoor environment in different weather conditions.
- Must be adaptable and have a "can do mentality" to entertain and engage kids of various ages.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
- All other duties as assigned by the Family Activities Manager.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to communicate with all team members
- Excellent communication skills
- High personal attendance standards
- Ability to focus under pressure and maintain a professional atmosphere
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- AED/CPR certification a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to sharp objects, slippery floors, smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, and extreme cold. The employee regularly comes into contact with water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items. The employee is frequently required to wash hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
