Toolmaker/Machinist
THE PLASTEK GROUP is seeking great people for its Tooling Division located in Erie, PA. Moldmaker
Position Summary
Toolmakers/Moldmakers able to build and assemble injection molds. Able to work efficiently by multitasking and meet tight deadline requirements to meet customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and assemble injection molds
- Working with job leaders to manufacture details on various projects using manual and CNC equipment based on skill and experience.
- Inspection and documentation of critical machined areas.
- Keep work area clean and organized via 5-S.
- Holding tight tolerances when finishing details.
- Multitask and plan for unattended machine time.
Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years in Injection Mold building or Die building
- Successful completion of trade school and/or apprenticeship program
Grinding
Position Summary
Toolmaker with experience in grinding to operate a manual Okamoto or Mitsui surface grinders, along with occasional wet grinding on wet grinders, Able to work efficiently and maintain quality to meet tight deadline requirements and customer expectations. Operate a standard 3-axis surface grinder. Utilize radius dressers, magnetic sin plates and other grinding tools.
Pay
· Pay and vacation is based on experience, $25-32
