What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Clerk position at The Platt Brothers & Co.?
Prepare and process weekly in-house payroll for all employees according to company policies and procedures.
· Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data.
· Updating payroll records by entering changes to employee information, pay rates and/or deductions.
· Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries.
· Tracking time and attendance.
· Processing weekly payroll tax payments and quarterly payroll tax filings.
· Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees
· Spreadsheet preparation and maintenance
· Perform other similar or related duties, as required or directed.
Skills and qualifications:
· Experience with Sage 100
· Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to multitask
· Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment
· Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee recordsk position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
Experience:
- Accounting/Payroll: 1 year (Preferred)
