Job Description
As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Technology organization, you will oversee the design, development, and delivery of mobile solutions across iOS and Android. You will pursue continuous improvement in development processes, standards, and quality while coaching, mentoring, and leading multiple groups of software engineers.
- Work with product owners across businesses to understand market needs and vision.
- Quickly define and deliver working software prototypes.
- Communicate effectively with immediate teams and leadership to ensure consistent messages and clear understanding of business direction, strategy, and results.
Responsibilities
Manages development projects, development teams, and application support functions. Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects, including development, installation, and maintenance of application programs.
- Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.
- Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development to increase teamwork and meet business needs.
- Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems developed meet business needs and specifications.
Qualifications
A successful candidate must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role. The following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in software product development and delivery using software development languages and frameworks such as Objective C, Swift, Kotlin, Java.
- Highly proficient with Xcode/iOS/Objective-C/Swift development or Java/Android Studio/Android SDK/3rd Party SDK development.
