Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational experiences. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to infant- toddler children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment for children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging social interaction and collaboration.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and daily activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall learning experience.
Skills
- Proficient in First Aid and CPR certification.
- Strong behavior management skills to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Experience in infant care, toddler care, or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Background in babysitting or caregiving for young children is beneficial.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom while engaging students in learning activities.
- Experience working with students of various backgrounds and abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude combined with patience and creativity in teaching methods.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proof of 12 Units in early childhood education or Proof of 6 completed ECE units and 6 currently enrolled ECE units
- 1 year experience in the a childcare setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of the play-based learning and Reggio-inspired curriculum/philosophy
- Punctual, dependable, and adaptable
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Fingerprint and TB clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Calm-tempered, focused, and reliable
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Schedule Monday-Friday from 9:30am-5:30pm

Pay: $20.50 - $23.00 per hour
