The Pointe is a consumer-managed drop-in center dedicated to providing peer support, mental health resources, transportation assistance (Ride Program), emergency warming services, and free meals through Center Town Café. Our mission is to empower individuals by promoting self-recovery, stability, and community engagement.
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization. This role involves overseeing The Pointe and all its programs, managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies, securing funding, and representing the organization within the community. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, social media management, grant writing, and nonprofit leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership & Oversight
- Oversee The Pointe as the umbrella agency, ensuring smooth operations across all services.
- Supervise and evaluate staff, ensuring a supportive and productive work environment.
- Review and update policies and procedures in compliance with The Pointe’s Policies & Procedures Manual.
Financial & Grant Management
- Utilize QuickBooks for budgeting, payroll, and financial tracking.
- Write and submit grant applications to support operational funding.
- Ensure financial responsibility and compliance with funding guidelines.
Community Engagement, Marketing & Social Media
- Represent The Pointe at community events, outreach efforts, and meetings.
- Manage and expand The Pointe’s social media presence to promote services, events, and fundraising efforts.
- Market and promote The Pointe’s programs, including Center Town Café, the Warmline, and the Ride Program.
Program-Specific Oversight
- Warmline: Ensure operations meet confidentiality and peer support guidelines.
- Warming Center: Oversee activation during extreme cold conditions and staff coordination.
- Ride Program: Supervise transportation services, ensuring scheduling and safety compliance.
- Center Town Café: Supervise the Café Coordinator, oversee meal planning, food safety compliance, and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in social science with 4 years of human service experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in social science with 2 years of human service experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with 18 social science credits and 2 years of experience.
- Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor or willingness to obtain certification within the first year.
- Extensive relevant experience in human services, nonprofit leadership, or a related field may be considered in place of a degree.
Required Skills & Abilities
- QuickBooks experience for budgeting, payroll, and financial tracking.
- Social media management experience (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in grant writing, fundraising, and policy review.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
Other Requirements:
- Must have transportation and be willing to travel.
- Must pass required background checks (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI).
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
