What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grooming Salon Receptionist position at The Posh Puppy Spa & Boutique?
Posh Puppy Spa & Boutique is looking to add a receptionist to our team that is willing to work to assist our current team with receptionist duties! We are interested in a team player that is willing to contribute towards our shop's success.
We are looking for someone who can maintain a safe and clean work environment and who is a self-starter and highly motivated with excellent customer service skills! In this position, you will be the face of our salon and, many times, the first interaction that our clients have when they enter Posh Puppy. It is very important for any candidate to have a positive and outgoing demeanor and be comfortable interacting with many people in-person and over the phone each day as well as presenting themselves in a clean and professional manner.

Hours: PART-TIME (4-5 hours per day), Tuesday through Saturday. Your schedule will be a set schedule every day/week that we can discuss at the time of the interview. Saturday availability is a *MUST*.
About Posh Puppy: We are a growing full-service salon with 5 established groomers, a groomer in training, and a great bather team. We highly value continuing our education and attend grooming expos and seminars every year. We are booking out months in advance. Our clients are all kind and generous people who prebook their appointments regularly and most pre-book their appointments up to a year in advance. We value safety and good experiences for the pets in our care over all. We keep our salon clean and calm to promote a relaxed environment for both employees and dogs. We are excited at the prospect of bringing a new person into our team!
Responsibilities:
We will go more into detail about the responsibilities of this position during the interview process. But the general responsibilities of the position are listed below:
Greeting all customers as they enter the salon.
Checking in and checking out dogs who have scheduled appointments.
Answering the phone and scheduling appointments as necessary.
Maintain a detailed record of all services performed on all pets in our salon.
General cleaning/tidying of the front of our salon.
Printing and filing paperwork as needed.
Requirements:
Must be able to pass a thorough background check.
Must have reliable transportation (Valid Driver's License and a car)
Must have excellent customer service skills in person and over the phone.
Must be comfortable handling all breeds of dogs and walking them, on leash, throughout the salon. (sometimes carrying small dogs)
Must be able to assist with general cleaning/sanitation of the salon on a daily basis.
