Job Title: Residential Site Superintendent
Reports To: Residential Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets homeowners on day of installation to ensure understanding of scope and safety.
- Documents material arrival and accuracy as well as crew punctuality.
- Documents tear off and installation with photos taken during all stages per insurance and production instructions.
- Monitors installation of roofing materials to ensure manufacturer instructions and GA Code are met.
- Ensures worksite is maintained in a clean and respectful state.
- Provides supply runs for materials/equipment that become necessary in the course of work.
- Documents all materials left over are maintained in a returnable state.
- Performs general cleanup of all areas of the building as directed.
- Works with sales and production manager to collect any outstanding payments.
- Completes and files paperwork for closing of the job site.
- Reports any situation out of the ordinary and works with the production team to discover solutions and rectify problems that arise.
- Handles emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the Residential Roofing industry and a comprehensive understanding of roofing materials, installation techniques, and safety protocols.
- A strong knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, and their applications; including an understanding of asphalt shingles, metal roofs, flat roofs, and other common roofing types, knowledge of proper installation methods, flashing details, ventilation systems, and waterproofing techniques.
- Ability to work independently, using good judgement and leading any necessary teams in the field.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for the crew. This includes knowledge of fall protection measures, proper equipment usage, and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
- Ability to adapt to the schedule of the project, including the ability and willingness to work early mornings and/or evenings as the project schedule requires.
- Must have an up to date smart phone (Android or iPhone).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving to and from job sites, navigating and abiding by all roadway requirements.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screen and MVR.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the physical stamina to be on feet for extended periods, climb ladders, and navigate various terrains.
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and access rooftops to inspect the progress of the project, evaluate roofing conditions, and supervise the work being done. Comfort with heights and the ability to safely navigate steep or uneven surfaces is essential.
- Must be able to assist with manual tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment or materials, especially during project setup or completion stages.
- Must be comfortable working in different climates and able to adapt to changing weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind.
- Must be able to move around construction sites, sometimes over rough or uneven terrain. Good mobility, including the ability to walk, bend, and crouch, is necessary to navigate these environments safely.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
