Inside/Outbound Multimedia Sales Executive
Aiken Communications is an award-winning daily newspaper that has served Aiken County since 1867, and prides itself on being the #1 source for news I and information in these communities. Our products include the Aiken Standard, Aiken Standard Plus, Post & Courier North Augusta Star, Online website, newsletters, social, video and digital marketing service.
Our Advertising Executives are responsible for meeting with newspaper clients to sell advertisements in our products and services, as well as meeting monthly budget goals, working on special selections (business card directories, Signature pages, special sections, etc.), and working with staff to create great products that give our client a good RIO for their marketing investment.
Job Description:
Aiken Communications is hiring a part-time Inside/Outbound Multimedia Sales Executive. This is a position with massive potential for growth and gives candidates an opportunity to join a growing staff in the newspaper/multimedia industry. This position will drive inside sales with special Sig pages and special sections. Thinking outside the box and selling across multiple delivery platforms including newsprint, digital, events, and other non-traditional revenue is imperative to be successful in this role.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads that best fit potential sections, special pages and promotions
- Utilize telemarketing techniques to generate leads and drive sales
- Collaborate with the advertising manager or publisher to meet and exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Keep accurate records of customer interactions in our CRM system
- Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication
- Utilize telemarketing techniques to generate leads and drive sales
- Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales deals
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
Experience
- Proven experience in inside sales or a similar role
- Familiarity with software products is a plus
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and close deals
Prior experience in customer service is beneficial
