Key Responsibilities:
BRAND MESSAGING & DEVELOPMENT:
- Craft on-brand, compelling messaging for all communication channels, including social media, websites, email campaigns, sermon series, and marketing materials
- Develop clear, faith-centered copy that connects with diverse audiences and reflects the voice of The Potter’s House
- Collaborate with leadership, pastors, and ministries to ensure messaging aligns with spiritual and community goals
- Create campaign themes, taglines, and mission-driven narratives that enhance The Potter’s House identity
- Write scroll-stopping social media copy that enhances engagement and encourages audience interaction
- Develop compelling captions, video scripts, and short-form content optimized for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Work with the House Photographer and Content Producer to pair engaging visuals with powerful storytelling
- Implement SEO-driven copy strategies to optimize website content for searchability and discoverability
- Research and write community spotlight stories, testimonies, and feature articles that showcase the impact of The Potter’s House
- Support content for devotionals, blog posts, and thought leadership pieces that provide spiritual insight and inspiration
- Collaborate with the Copy Editor and Creative Director/Head of Creative to shape storytelling approaches across platforms
- Partner with Graphic Designers, Social Media Managers, and the House Photographer to ensure cohesive storytelling
- Edit and refine messaging for clarity, tone, and brand consistency, under the guidance of the Copy Editor
- Stay ahead of writing trends, audience engagement strategies, and content best practices to keep messaging fresh and relevant
- Mastery of digital, social, and brand storytelling with an eye for faith-driven messaging
- Strong experience writing short-form and long-form content that resonates with modern audiences
- Expert-level editing, proofreading, and content structuring skills
- Ability to craft engaging social media copy, ad campaigns, and digital narratives
- Experience working in faith-based or nonprofit communications is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- at least 3-5 years of experience in copywriting, content strategy, or editorial writing
- Proven ability to write for multiple platforms including digital, print, and broadcast
